A flavour bomb of fresh turmeric, ginger and black pepper. This is something I swig at, pour into a shot glass, add hot water and honey to, or cold flat or sparkling water. This is something I make sure to have on hand so for when I need a bit of a boost. The trio of ginger, pepper, and turmeric are known to be very good - particularly for inflammation.
Jeff and I recently went to Java - to Yogyakarta and spent a day in a Jamu house - we tasted a lot of different styles - and checked in that this recipe had the tick of approval, which it did! Our Jamu is not sweet, we strain out the solids, but leave it quite fibrous as turmeric and ginger are too precious, right? Give it a shake or a stir to get that in.
